Cave paintings of Spain and France

The amazing cave paintings and etchings of northern Spain and south-west France (primarily) were created by the first Homo Sapiens (Cro-Magnon) to venture into Europe. The art was created between 32,000 and 11,000 years ago during the last Ice Age. How would a fundamentalist explain this cultural phenomenon, since the world is 6,000-12,000 years old according to scripture? The paintings
were mankind's first attempt at symbolism. They were trying to make sense of the world through art.

Figurines and jewelry were also made in the Stone Age.
